Need a new racket?
Unfortunately, there are no retail stores close to Jacksonville, which is the case for most players here in the United States. Our local sporting good stores tend to carry "backyard quality" rackets, which, for beginners is just fine, since you are mostly working on just making contact with the birdie.
However, there are some Internet sites with lots of rackets to choose from. The club's only direct experience with buying from the Internet has been with Badminton Warehouse. Our personal experience with them has been very favorable, with great customer support. Your best resource is to print-out the specs for the racket you are interested in and bring it to an event and ask others how they feel about it.
